Here are just a few testimonials from some of our 2017 Hunters.
High Timber Outfitter has one of the best spots in the flat top mountains in Colorado. We were on Elk every day and were in a group of around 250 elk that we hunted daily. We shot some nice elk and seen some really good bulls we hunted. The horses and tent set ups were great and located in perfect hunting spots. We reserved our spot for the next year the day we left last year to make sure we can continue hunting with these guys. We have hunted all over for years and found a hot spot with High Timber Outfitters.
I am having to write this review under my wife’s account as I do not have a google email…I don’t even know where to start. We had a group of 5 hunt 3rd Rifle in 2017. We were in the elk everyday we were there. The majority of the group came home with great animals. I was one however that had plenty of opportunities and just couldn’t get the job done. As soon as we left I knew I needed to come back and get an elk down and booked 1st rifle for the 2018 season. Everyone at High Timber are increbidly nice and helpful in every aspect of the hunt. Don’t kid yourself this hunt is not for the faint of heart. You need to be in good health as you will be hiking a lot in high altitude. However if you put in the work you are most assured to get rewarded. Hopefully I will be updating this review with a bull down after this season…
Had the best adventure and harvested my 6 pt bull on day 4!! This was my 3rd drop camp experience but first with High Timber and in NW Colorado. I knew they were in their first year of outfitting after buying from another local outfitter so my expectations were not specific or very high, but I had heard great things about the area in which their camps are located GMU #24 and that in itself was worth taking a chance. I have to say, not only was I in God’s country and hunting in some incredible back-country but the guys did a great job taking care of me. I am a back woods kinda guy so this was right up my alley. Loved the trail ride up/down to my camp and my horse “Jane”…what a gal. It did take them an extra day to get to me to get my bull down, but that was because other hunters in other camps were getting their bulls left/right and they could only do so many in a day so I just kept my patience and, took in that mountain air and was thankful for my bounty. I am already booked for 2018 and am bringing my son in law this time. Thank you Dave and Martin, I look forward to seeing you again in October.
